Lunch will be at the Dunstan Schoolhouse Restaurant in Scarborough, ME. Dunstan School is an old schoolhouse restored and redecorated with an effort to retain as much of the old school's atmosphere and nostalgia as possible; The dining rooms are named after sections of the Town of Scarborough. The chalkboards have been kept in most rooms as they were used in the old classrooms. The exterior of the building is restored almost in original detail with its new signs designed to be very compatible to the surrounding architecture.
After lunch we will enjoy a narrated 90 minute scenic cruise through the busy harbor and innermost islands to see lighthouses, forts, lobster boats, seals, and seabirds. Four lighthouses can be seen up close with as many as seven in view during the cruise, including a closeup view of Maine’s oldest and most photographed lighthouse, Portland Head Light! So come aboard, take in the salt air, and spectacular sights, while enjoying the best narrated cruise around!
